Tehran, 8 November 2021 (TDI): The 9th Joint Trade Committee meeting between Iran and Pakistan was held in Tehran on November 6-7. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razzaq Dawood left for Iran on a two-day visit on Friday, 5th November 2021.

Iranian Minister of Industry, Fatimi Amin and Adviser Dawood co-chaired the meeting. Representatives from the trade ministry, Pakistan Customs, the Balochistan government, and the FPCCI attended the conference.
Trade issues and other related developments were discussed. Pakistan and Iran have agreed to increase bilateral trade volume to five billion dollars in next five years.
Advisor Dawood also shared that at the conclusion of meeting of Joint Trade Committee today, Pakistan and Iran have agreed on Barter trade in rice, construction of border markets, movement of Pakistani trucks under TIR and Customs cooperation.
The eighth joint meeting was held in Islamabad in 2019.
