Ankara (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, in collaboration with a supermarket, hosted a mango tasting event to introduce Turkish consumers to the rich flavor, taste, and quality of Pakistani mangoes.
Held at a local CarrefourSA outlet, the event featured freshly cut mangoes and drew a large number of visitors.
Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Ambassador of Pakistan to Türkiye, also visited the stall and engaged with visitors, asking them about their take on the taste of Pakistani mangoes, celebrated and loved locally as the “King of Fruits.”
Ambassador Junaid emphasized Pakistan’s position as one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of mangoes and thanked the Turkish visitors for turning up on the stall in large numbers.

“The response today has been overwhelmingly positive,” he said, adding “We are proud to showcase the diverse and premium varieties of mangoes that Pakistan offers, and we look forward to organizing more such events in the future.”
The event was part of the Embassy’s efforts to promote cultural and commercial ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. Many Pakistani embassies worldwide hosted similar events this summer.
Another such festival was organized by the country’s Foreign Office, where the diplomatic missions and ambassadors stationed in Islamabad were invited.
