Heavy monsoon rains have triggered deadly floods and landslides in various parts of Nepal over the past week, leaving many people missing or displaced.
The downpours have washed away homes, blocked roads, and damaged infrastructure, prompting authorities to launch large-scale rescue and relief efforts.
The disaster has overwhelmed local resources, while emergency services are working round the clock to reach remote and heavily affected areas.
Out of the 47 people that have been reported dead, thirty five people lost their lives in separate landslides in the eastern Ilam district.

A spokesperson for the Armed Police Force said that nine people were missing after being washed away by floods and three others were killed in lightning incidents.
Pakistan itself is recovering from the floods caused by heavy monsoon rains that started late June, and are still continuing in a scattered pattern.
The rains are coinciding with the gradual arrival of winters in the region, where early snowfalls have also been reported from some areas.
