Pak Envoy Urges EU, Right Bodies to Act Against Indian Abuses in IIOJK

Brussels (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, on Tuesday urged the international community, particularly the EU and global human rights organizations, to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities by taking concrete action against India’s ongoing violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Addressing a special ceremony held to mark Youm-e-Istehsal, the ambassador strongly denounced India’s continued repression in the disputed region, including attempts at demographic changes aimed at marginalizing the local population.

The gathering served as a poignant reminder of the decades-long suffering endured by the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for their right to self-determination.

The event featured speeches, poetry, and emotional tributes. Imran Saqib, President of the Pakistan Press Club Belgium, recited heartfelt verses that conveyed the pain and resilience of the Kashmiri struggle.
