Abu Dhabi (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, on Sunday expressed profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of lives and widespread devastation caused by floods in several parts of Pakistan, including Buner, Swat, Bajaur, Shangla, Mansehra, as well as in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Terming the calamity a serious trial for the affected families and the nation as a whole, the ambassador urged the Pakistani community in the UAE to stand united with their compatriots in this difficult time, share their grief, and extend all possible assistance.

As a gesture of solidarity, Ambassador Tirmizi also announced the postponement of Independence Day celebrations in the UAE.
“May Allah Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed souls and strength and patience to the bereaved families,” he prayed.
