Pakistan Displays SUPARCO Space Achievements at FAMEX 2025

Mexico (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan to Mexico participated in the Aerospace Mexico Fair (FAMEX) 2025 held at the Santa Lucía Air Base, on Thursday. FAMEX 2025 exhibition provided Pakistan a platform to showcase SUPARCO’s space achievements and the growing contributions in the field of space science and technology.

Pakistan’s Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has played a significant role in advancing the country’s capabilities in space science, satellite technology, and aerospace research.

It has developed several remote sensing and communication satellites to support communication, disaster management, environmental monitoring, and national security.

During the event, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Mexico, Shozab Abbas, expressed gratitude for receiving a special invitation from the Mexican Air Force, which enabled the country to showcase its advancements in space technology.

The event was attended by international dignitaries, aerospace experts as well as students who took a keen interest in SUPARCO’s innovations, and its contributions to national progress.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for Pakistan to enhance its networking, knowledge exchange, and promote country’s vision for advancement of space technology.

Ambassador Shozab Abbas also expressed hope to further enhance collaboration with the government of Mexico and other participating nations in aerospace research and technology.

Earlier this year, The Committee of the Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) visited Pakistan’s Embassy to Mexico, where they were warmly welcomed by Ambassador Shozab Abbas.

During the meeting, The Committee of the Mexican Aerospace Fair discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Pakistan and Mexico in aerospace sector, and extended invitation to Pakistan to represent SUPARCO in FAMEX 2025.

Pakistan and Mexico have witnessed a steady growth in their bilateral diplomatic relations.

Both countries have not only enhanced cooperation and engagement in trade, education, and technology, but also strengthened cultural ties.

On April 17, The Lotería Nacional of Mexico held a special draw that featured a commemorative ticket to celebrate Pakistan’s 70 years of diplomatic relations with Mexico.

Last month, the Mexican Commission of Cultural Heritage and the World Heritage Cities Council organized a seminar in the Legislative Palace in Mexico. During the event, Ambassador Shozab Abbas gave a presentation on the significance of cultural heritage of Pakistan.
