Gwadar, 17 March 2022 (TDI): Pakistan China Technical and Vocational Institute situated in Gwadar, Balochistan begins short courses for the students. The purpose is to provide vocational training to the students.

As far as some background information is concerned, the institute was completed in the month of September in the year 2021. At this point, it is relevant to mention that the project was completed well before its expected completion date.

The project is basically part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor abbreviated as CPEC. The cost of the project according to official sources was $10 million.

Features of the Institute

According to sources, the institute will be accommodating above two hundred and fifty (250) trainees at a time. In addition to that, training will be provided to at least one thousand students and individuals per annum.

If the employment opportunities are considered, the institute is generating several jobs as well. These jobs are also for the locals of the province in particular and of the country in general.

Students of the Gwadar district would be given admission to the courses free of any cost. Again the aim is to equip the individuals with modern vocational skills.

The students who would be graduating from the institute would then be sent to China for further exposure. In China, they will be given an opportunity to get hands-on experience in various industries.

Not only that but Pakistan’s brother China has itself agreed to provide services and training at the center. A written draft on this has been made but signatures are not on it yet. The written document and understanding will be signed soon.

To put it in a nutshell, this entity and institute are aiming to equip individuals with the latest knowledge. Not only knowledge but the skillset that is in demand in the market. This project is yet another proof of Pakistan and China’s iron-clad friendship.
