Geneva, 18 September 2021 (TDI): The permanent representative of Oman to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Idris bin Abdulrahman Al-Khanjari, addressed the 48th session of the Human Rights Council.
During his speech, he said that Oman gives great significance to human rights of all categories. According to him, focus on the implementation of the right to development is important as per the principles of human rights. Besides, as per Oman’s policies, participation in the realization of the right to development is indispensable.
In addition to that, the permanent representative enumerated the measures adopted by Oman at the national level to improve the lives of citizens by ensuring basic rights. Also, he covered the steps taken by his Sultanate to mitigate the impact of climate change.
