Islamabad, 6 April 2022 (TDI): On Tuesday, the National Institute of Health (NIH) stated that 80 percent of the eligible Pakistani population has received full COVID-19 vaccination.
The breakthrough was reported on Twitter by the autonomous research group that now leads the country’s anti-COVID activities following the closing of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

COVID-19 impacts different people in diverse ways. Most infected individuals develop mild to moderate symptoms and recover without any medicine or hospitalization.
Pakistan has had its third straight day without a coronavirus death, with all other signs plummeting, indicating that the COVID -19 pandemic was drawing its final breaths in the country.
The number of single-day infections from the coronavirus pandemic fell to 148 in the last 24 hours (Tuesday), the lowest in recent months, according to numbers issued by the National Institute of Health Pakistan on Wednesday morning.
According to the latest NIH figures, the coronavirus death toll has stayed at 30,361 for the third consecutive day, while the overall number of infections has increased to 1,525,923 after the addition of 148 new cases.
That is to say, there were 26,413 tests conducted in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 0.56 percent. There were 310 patients in critical care.
Moreover, 212 people have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 1,486,464. The country’s overall number of active cases was 9,098 as of Wednesday.
It is stated that there have been 575,949 confirmed coronavirus cases in Sindh, 505,224 in Punjab, 219,173 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 135,103 in Islamabad, 35,478 in Balochistan, 43,281 in Azad Kashmir, and 11,715 in Gilgit-Baltistan thus far.
In a tweet by the National Institute of Health, it has now also been stated that 80 percent of the eligible Pakistani population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
