New Ambassador designate to Iraq met President of Pakistan

Islamabad: July 19, 2021 – (TDI) President Dr.

Arif Alvi has emphasized the importance of expanding trade, economic, cultural, and people-to-people ties with Iraq, a brotherly country. He was speaking with Ahmad Amjad Ali, Pakistan’s designated ambassador to Iraq, who paid him a visit in Islamabad on Monday. The President has shared that the Ambassador-designate plays a role in encouraging trade between the two countries and assisting Pakistani pilgrims in Iraq.

He stated that air and sea links must be improved, as well as defense cooperation between the two countries. According to Arif Alvi, the Ambassador-elect should work to promote high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Iraq.
