Rotterdam, 22 August 2022 (TDI): The former Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan, Wouter Plomp, congratulated the Pakistan cricket team on winning the three-match ODI series against the Netherlands.
Congratulations #Pakistan and very well played 🇳🇱 , what a thriller it was!
Superb #bowling by Naseem & Wasim must be reassuring for upcoming #AsiaCup , I was happy standing with even younger 🇵🇰 talents, thanks @TheRealPCB for promoting #CricketNL #NEDvPAK pic.twitter.com/gs1e3GAOhi— Wouter Plomp (@NLAmbPlomp) August 21, 2022
The Ambassador was also very happy and amazed with the performance of the underdog Dutch team and praised the whole team.
Plomp witnessed the final cricket match between Pakistan and the Netherlands in the Rotterdam Cricket Stadium.
He was very happy and he expressed his happiness in words by saying that he was witnessing a small Pakistan in the Rotterdam Cricket Stadium.
There were three ODI matches played between the cricket teams of Pakistan and the Netherlands and this was the first time that both these teams faced each other in a bilateral series.
The three ODIs
Pakistan cricket team whitewashed the Netherlands cricket team as all the three ODIs were won by the Pakistan cricket team. This is the 2nd successive ODI-series whitewash by the Pakistan cricket team.
Pakistan won the first ODI by 16 runs, the second one by 7 wickets, and the third ODI was won by 9 runs. The third ODI was a low-scoring match and it got down to the wire. It was the most exciting match in the series.
The series between Pakistan and the Netherlands was a part of the Cricket World Cup Super League. Pakistan has moved to third position in the Cricket World Cup Super League standings after white-washing the Netherlands.
The Pakistan Cricket Team will fly to the UAE from the Netherlands to play the Asia Cup. Pakistan will not have the services of their prime fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi because he suffered a knee injury while fielding during the Pakistan-Sri Lanka series in July.
