New York, 21 August 2021 (TDI): According to the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram, Pakistan is operating three flights on a daily basis for the removal of foreign diplomats, journalists, and Afghans who want to leave Afghanistan.

Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan there are many people who want to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible. While speaking to CNN, he said that the Pakistan Embassy is busy rectifying visa applications of those who are capable enough to travel. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is busy operating three flights each day to evacuate five to six hundred people each day. Those who have already flown out of the country were Afghans who were working for the foreign embassies in Afghanistan.

He also made it clear that those who come to the border with a visa and other important travel documents will be allowed to cross to the other side.
