Sophie Wilmes and Dritan Abrazovic in Brussels.

Brussels, 15 September 2021 (TDI): On 14 September 2021, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Sophie Wilmes and Montenegro Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abrazovic met at Brussels. Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro was in his visit to the capital of Belgium, Brussels. Both countries discussed their bilateral relations. They talked about both countries’ cooperation in more fields, like trade and economics.

Montenegro and Belgium also addressed the human rights issues and rights of minorities and women. Montenegro Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abrazovis has said that Montenegro emphasized its role to protect citizen’s rights.  Our country in the region is the first country to accept and recognize same-sex couples.

Sophie Wilmes, the Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, appreciated Montenegro to their Foreign Policy’s engagement with the EU. She also congratulated Montenegro in fight against the illegal trade of tobacco and major drugs seizure. Sophie Wilmes said that these are the results of European cooperation and Montenegro’s police good work.
