Mishina and Galliamov win gold at Beijing 2022

Beijing, 10 February 2022 (TDI): World Champions Anastasia Mishina and Aleksander Galliamov won gold at Beijing Winter Olympics in a team event free skating. The team event took place on 7 February 2022.

Initially, the duo suffered a shock fall but later on exploited the opportunity to lead the ROC to the victory parade. However, in the free dance, Madison Chock and Evan Bates defeated the world champions Nikita Katsalapov and Victoria Sinitsina.

 

 

President Putin Congratulated the Whole Team

Along these lines, President Vladimir Putin also congratulated the whole team for their unstoppable performances at the 24th Winter Olympics. This includes Mark Kondratyuk, Kamila Valiyeva, Anastasia Mishina, Alexander Gallyamov, Viktoria Sinitsina, and Nikita Katsalapov.

Anastasia Mishina- Athlete Profile

Anastasia Mishina was born in St. Petersburg on 24 April 2001. Her nickname is Nastia and she likes cooking and reading. Currently, she is a third-year university student at Lesgaft University in St. Petersburg to acquire the coaching diploma.

Moreover, she can speak both English and Russian. Her club is the FS Sports Club of Tamara Moskvina. It is pertinent to note that coaches play a vital role in the life of athletes. Therefore, her coaches include Artur Minchuk and Tamara Moskvina.

Initial Stages of Professional Career

In 2005, she started her professional career. But, she became a member of the national team in 2015. Further, she got her debut at Inge Solar Memorial 2018 with Galliamov.

However, she started skating when she was four and a half years old. Her aim is, to achieve memorable performances and become a high-level coach in the field of skating.

Memorable event

Indeed, one of the most memorable events of her life is winning the title in her debut at the World Championships in 2021. Furthermore, she considers Aljona Savchenko and Tatiana Volosozhar as her heroes.

Alijona Savchenko belongs to Germany and is a five-time world champion. However, Tatiana Volosozhar belongs to Russia and is a 2014 Olympic Champion.

Teaming up with Galliamov

In 2017, Mishina and Galliamov teamed up for skating performances. They were in the same group but with different partners. Later on, they paired and started performing at national and international platforms.

Aleksander Galliamov was born in Berezniki on 28 August 1999. Currently, he is residing in St. Petersburg. His nickname is Sasha and his hobbies include movies, music, and Soccer.

Like Mishina, Alexander Galliamov is also a University student and studies at Lesgaft University. But, he speaks the Russian language only. Accordingly, he shares the same club and coaches with Mishina.

Afterward, he started skating in 2004 but became a member of the national team in 2018. His most memorable event is winning the 2021 World Figure Skating Championships.
