Rawalpindi (TDI): Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by senior ministers, paid an official visit to Global Industrial & Defense Solutions (GIDS) on Thursday as part of his state visit to Pakistan.
He was warmly received by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who guided the delegation through the facility.
During the visit, President Mirziyoyev was briefed on GIDS’ diverse portfolio, which includes advanced defense solutions, industrial capabilities, and technological innovations.
The delegation toured key sections of the facility and observed a range of defense products, highlighting Pakistan’s growing expertise in indigenous defense production and industrial development.

The visit underscored the shared commitment of Pakistan and Uzbekistan to deepen collaboration in defense, technology, and industrial sectors. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing partnerships, knowledge exchange and joint ventures.
