Turkmenistan is in Central Asia, with a population of around 6 million. It is the 4th largest natural gas resource country in the world. Turkmenistan’s capital city is Ashgabat.
Turkmenistan shares its borders with Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Uzbekistan.
Finland and Turkmenistan have good bilateral relations and are strengthening their relations.
In 1992, both countries established their diplomatic ties, and are good partners in the trade.
