Mexico City, 16 September 2021 (TDI): On Wednesday, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) announced the commencement of their sixth summit under the leadership of Mexican President Andres Manuel. The event will commence on September 18 at the National Palace of Mexico City.
Mexico will host the sixth summit of Heads of State and Government of the CELAC on September 18, for which 31 of the 33 Caribbean and the Latin American states have already confirmed their participation. Earlier on Tuesday, the Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard stated that Alberto Fernandez from Argentina, Guillermo Lasso from Ecuador, Luis Arce from Bolivia, Carlos Alvarado from Costa Rica, Pedro Castillo from Peru, Juan Orlando Hernandez from Honduras, and Luis Lacalle from Uruguay, are among the leaders who formally confirmed their presence at the CELAC summit, 2021.
