Ottawa, 2 August 2021 (TDI): The Mayor of the City of Ottawa, Jim Watson declared August 2021 as Pakistan Heritage Month. The purpose of this declaration is to provide Pakistani-Canadians with an opportunity to promote the culture, food, tourism, and products of Pakistan. A community-based non-profit organization, Salam Pakistan Canada also aims at using this opportunity to bridge the gaps between cultures, and communities, and to promote positivity and acceptance for all. In this regard, Salam Pakistan Canada will be holding a parade, concert, cultural shows, and picnics at Strathcona Park, on the occasion of Pakistan Independence Day, i.e. 14 August 2021.
