Islamic Relief Pakistan helps women to work in the Orakzai district

Orakzai 2nd August 2021 (TDI): Women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are motivated to start small businesses to earn better and support their families.

Women are considered important in spreading prosperity and setting up small businesses of their own to support their families. This initiative is supported by United Nation Development Program Pakistan and Japan Government Organization that helped in training 170 women to acquire the different skills to work in district Orakzai. All of it is done to promote handicrafts made by women and also to create a market for them. To showcase their work, an exhibition was organized and more than 300 people participated in it. This exhibition was a success with the help of Lower Assistant Commissioner Orakzai and the Social Welfare Department.
