Nouakchott: 17 July 2021 (TDI):  President of Mauritania’s ruling party UPR, Sidi Mohamed Ould Taleb Amar said that Sino-African cooperation has a bright future as there are no obstacles in its way of development.

The remarks were given during an interview with Xinhua on Friday. He shared that the first time he went to China was on a diplomatic mission as an ambassador and he observed that China was a great country. He mentioned how the country has progressed under the leadership of the CPC. He said those who still haven’t accepted that China has achieved a great degree in the field of human progress are the arrogant ones and that he is grateful that Mauritania and China have historical and ever-strengthening bilateral ties.

Amar said that China is a country with its own history and culture which has expanded cooperation with countries all over the world. Other countries can benefit from China in terms of developmental methods, dealing with people, and establishing good relations with the rest of the world. Speaking for the African countries, he said that he knows that the Sino-African cooperation has a bright future because there are no obstacles preventing development and expansion in all areas. He said both China and the African countries reciprocate the respect for each other’s peculiarities.

He also expressed gratitude to China for medical cooperation and vaccine supplies to fight the pandemic and said he looked forward to greater cooperation with China.
