Copenhagen, 30 September 2021 (TDI): Ahmed Latheef, Ambassador of Maldives to Denmark, presented his credentials to Queen Margrethe II.
Margrethe II is Denmark’s Queen and Commander-in-Chief of the Danish Defense Forces. When a constitutional reform allowed women to inherit the throne in 1953, she became the presumptive heir to her father. The ceremony was held at the Amalienborg Palace.
The Ambassador presented a Letter of Credence as the Non-resident Ambassador of Maldives to Denmark. The Foreign Minister of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid also wished Ahmed Latheef. He expressed that he is hopeful that this relationship will flourish for both states.
