Kuala Lumpur, 22 February 2022 (TDI): Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Kamarudin of Malaysia made a courtesy call to his Polish counterpart namely Marcin Przydacz in Warsaw.

According to the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Malaysia, both leaders have also addressed different issues impacting Malaysia-Poland bilateral ties. These concern the economic sector, trade, investment, higher education, tourism, and halal sectors.

At the same time, all parties recognized that there are other explicit potential areas for collaboration, such as cyber security, agriculture, and green technologies.

According to the Statement of the Foreign Office of Malaysia, the meeting also allowed both parties to discuss regional and international concerns. Such as the role of ASEAN and the European Union.

Especially, the latest events in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Palestine, and the South China Sea issue. He also took note of his counterpart’s thoughts on current events in Ukraine.

Malaysia-Poland Previous Meeting Details

On February 17th, Deputy Foreign Minister Kamarudin jaffer met with the Deputy Marshal of the Polish Senate Gabriela Morawska-Stanecka.

During the meeting, all parties agreed that interactions between members of the Malaysian and Polish parliaments might be improved. This is to enable more information sharing and talks on a variety of topics of common interest.

Malaysia, Poland Diplomatic and Cooperative Ties

Both nations have established diplomatic ties since June 21, 1971. The 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations has been celebrated in 2021. Deputy Foreign Minister Kamaruddin is on an official tour to the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, and France From February 13 to February 23.
