Vilnius, 06 October 2021(TDI): Gitanas Nauseda, the President of the Republic of Lithuania has called for the enlargement of the European Union.
The President stated that Macedonia and Albania should become a part of the European Union.
He tweeted that the countries upholding democracy and freedom should become a part of the Union. He also said that his country supports the accession of such countries to the EU.

Recently, there have been a lot of discussions about EU enlargement because Germany’s former Chancellor, Angela Merkel wanted the western Balkans to become a part of the EU and visited Serbia and Albania to hold talks on this matter.
