Bishkek, 10 August 2021 (TDI): Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, met with Valery Zhovtenko, the ambassador of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan, on Monday.
Both parties discussed the prospects of bilateral ties in the trade, economic, and educational spheres. They proposed ideas for the establishment of joint projects in the humanitarian and transport sectors. With that, the interlocutors showed interest in resuming direct flights.
At the end of the meeting, both parties signed an agreement to convene the first political consultation this year which will be attended by the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the countries. Also, for the year 2022, they discussed the preparations for celebrations marking 30 years of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.
