Khujand (TDI): The leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, in a trilateral summit in Khujand, signed a Joint Declaration to respect each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship has been signed at the Junction Point of the State Borders of the three countries.
The leaders inaugurated Friendship Stele as a monument symbolizing the strengthened friendship, trust, and strategic partnership among the three nations.
Prior the Summit, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, welcomed the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in Khujand.

According to the Kyrgyz President’s press service, the three leaders emphasized the commitment to respecting each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while encouraging constructive discussion and collaboration in Central Asia.
On the sidelines of the trilateral summit, Presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan signed protocol and ratification certificates on the entry into force of the Treaty on Allied Relations between the two countries. The documents were signed by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of both states.
The treaty was initially signed during a high-level bilateral summit in Dushanbe on April 18, 2023.
The President of Tajikistan expressed great satisfaction with the signing of the Treaty and stated that “a qualitatively new stage of development has begun in the relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.”

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the successful resolution of all border issues as well as the signing of the State Border Delimitation Treaty, which plays an important role in guaranteeing regional stability and long-term development.
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan also signed a protocol to exchange ratification instruments for the border treaty between the two countries.
The two leaders engaged in wide-ranging discussions on cooperation in trade, economy, energy, culture and humanitarian affairs, concluding in the signing of the protocol, which finalized the agreement.

The boundary between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is approximately 970 km long, and delimitation talks began in 2002. The two countries engaged in extensive negotiations, completing the border delimitation in December 2024.
President Emomali Rahmon called the signing of the treaties between the three countries “a very important event,” and stated, “We in Tajikistan highly value relations with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, which are based on good-neighborliness, equality, respect and consideration of mutual interests.”
The Presidents also discussed crucial areas for future cooperation, including high-level trust, regional economic integration, and increased cross-border trade.

They emphasized strengthening relations between neighboring states, modernizing custom infrastructure, and promoting industrial collaboration.
During the Summit, the Presidents of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also visited the Khujand Fortress and explored its history. The site features a complex with five exhibition halls showcasing Tajik culture and history.
