Kenya receives vaccines from US

Nairobi, 6 September 2021 (TDI): On Monday morning, Kenya received the second batch of 880,320 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. The government of the United States of America donated vaccines through the COVAX facility. UNICEF Kenya has transported these vaccines.

The Health Minister of Kenya said that they are very grateful to the government of the United States for vaccine donation. Kenya has planned to vaccinate over 10 Million people by the end of the year. These donations will help the people of Kenya to fight the pandemic. As of 6 September, Kenya has registered 238,852 COVID-19 cases and 4,757 deaths, according to the World Health Organization.
