Astana (TDI): Kazakhstan is looking to double its trade with Estonia, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during his meeting with Estonian President Alar Karis at the Akorda Presidential Palace.
Tokayev noted that economic cooperation remains a central pillar of the relationship between the two countries.
Although trade volumes have dipped slightly, he expressed confidence that both sides can significantly boost their economic indicators in the near future.
He pointed out that more than 80 Estonian companies are already active in Kazakhstan, working in sectors such as logistics, postal services, and electric scooter rentals.

The Kazakh president said he hopes the ongoing Kazakhstan–Estonia Business Forum will open new avenues of cooperation and encourage fresh partnerships between businesses from both sides.
He emphasized that Kazakhstan is prepared to offer stable, transparent, and attractive investment conditions for Estonian companies, particularly in areas like digital innovation, transport, logistics, energy, critical minerals, manufacturing, and agriculture.

Tokayev also welcomed the Estonian business delegation accompanying President Karis, expressing hope that the forum would help advance shared economic interests.
Earlier reports noted that President Tokayev had also called for stronger parliamentary engagement with Estonia during the bilateral talks.
