Kazakhstan to Boost Oil Exports to Germany in 2026

Astana (TDI): Kazakhstan plans to raise its monthly oil exports to Germany from 100,000 tons to 130,000 tons in 2026, according to an announcement following a meeting between KazMunayGas Chairman Askhat Khassenov and Rosneft Deutschland GmbH Director General Johannes Bremer.

Both sides agreed to extend the existing oil supply agreement, covering deliveries from the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. reserves, through the end of 2026.

Oil shipments from KMG Kashagan B.V. began in 2024, while supplies from Tengizchevroil LLP reserves commenced in 2025.

During the first nine months of 2025, Kazakhstan’s oil deliveries to the Schwedt Oil Refinery in Germany totaled around 1.5 million tons.

Both parties expressed their intention to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector.

Earlier, KazMunayGas and Uzbekneftegaz also discussed strengthening ties in petrochemistry and geological exploration.
