Nur Sultan, 5 November 2021 (TDI): Kazakh President, Kassym Jomart Tokayev virtually addressed the Chinese International Exhibition ceremony. The ceremony took place for the IV Chinese International Exhibition of Imported Goods.
Kassym Jomart Tokayev mentioned that Kazakhstan has reached an important and historical milestone. He greeted Kazakhstan and China on the upcoming event of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He expressed pleasure on entering a new stage of strategic partnership between both states.
Kassym Jomart emphasized that the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation of both states will open the way to common development and prosperity. He also added that the trade and economic relations between both states will also get strong in the coming days.
Kassym Jomart mentioned that despite the difficulties caused by the coronavirus the bilateral trade turnover grew by 5% and exceeded 15 billion dollars. He said that the temporary restrictions imposed in connection with the pandemic on the Kazakh-Chinese border will soon be removed. The mutual trade will be fully restored.
Kassym Jomart Tokayev noted that trade has always been the main driving force of prosperity and international cooperation. He expressed that this principle is especially important for their region. According to Kassym Jomart, COVID19 has seriously undermined global trade ties. He ensured that Kazakhstan would continue to work closely with all interested parties to strengthen and diversify routes of regular transit traffic.
Kassym Jomart Tokayev noted the progressive nature of Kazakhstan-China relations. He also expressed hope for the further development of bilateral relations.
