Cairo, 3 Aug 2021(TDI): Rania el Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, met with Mohamed AL-hawij, Libya’s Minister of Economy and Trade. Libyan Minister was accompanied by Salama al-Ghweil, Libya’s Minister of State for Economic Affairs, to discuss continuing arrangements for the 11th session of the Joint Egyptian-Libyan Higher Committee.
During Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli’s visit to Cairo in April, the two sides signed a number of documents dealing with business, investment, electrical issues, education, health, logistics, and transportation.
The two nations are reconsidering proposals to strengthen bilateral ties in Libya’s reconstruction and capitalise on the two neighboring countries’ significant economic potential through business unit partnerships.
Rania el Mashat also stated that it is critical to empower both countries’ businesses and industries to develop bilateral agreements with the assistance of the government in order to achieve the goals of these initiatives.
