Islamabad, 21 August 2024 (TDI): Key business representatives from the Council for Marble, Granite & Minerals and the Sectoral Council for Surgical Instruments participated in virtual sessions with Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.
Minister Jam Kamal Khan encouraged both councils to present thorough proposals outlining their main issues, possible fixes, and recommended courses of action during these separate meetings.
The aim is to obtain the requisite backing to tackle the urgent problems encountered by these industries and establish a setting that fosters enterprise expansion and augments export revenue.
The minister emphasized that these billion-dollar industries’ potential for exports may be greatly increased by including these councils in the policymaking process. He underlined that the private sector must remain involved in these initiatives since it is the primary shareholder.
The Minister declared, “The recommendations, major concerns, and suggestions from these councils will be carefully examined and included in a strategic report.”
“To make sure that the issues raised by these sectors are sufficiently taken care of, this report will be approved by higher authorities.”
