England had been attempting to win the Championship since the 1966 World Cup. While Italy won the title only once in 1968. Italy had proved to be the best team in the EURO 2020 championship.
It was a nail-biting finale that was thoroughly enjoyed by fans from all around the world. Italy won the second European Championship after 53 years.
