Iran’s Military Chief Meets COAS Asim Munir

Rawalpindi (TDI): Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters and met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prevailing regional security environment and explored avenues for bilateral defence cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Upon his arrival, Major General Bagheri paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

He was also presented with a guard of honor by a meticulously prepared contingent of the Pakistan Army.

The visit highlights the continued efforts by both countries to strengthen regional security ties and enhance bilateral military cooperation.

Pakistan and Iran have consistently prioritized enhancing their military cooperation to address shared security concerns and promote regional stability.
