Dushanbe, 18 September 2021(TDI): Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian had an official meeting with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin last night.
In the meeting, the Irani Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude to the Tajik President and the government for assisting Iran in becoming a permanent member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They also reviewed their bilateral ties and talked about the religious, cultural, linguistic, and historical harmonies between both countries. They also discussed enhancing their bilateral ties and mutual cooperation.
Discussing Afghanistan, The Tajik Foreign Minister asserted that Afghanistan should formulate an inclusive government. He added that the inclusive government should include representatives from all ethnic groups. He added that this is the only way forward to maintain peace and stability ensuring development in the region. Both parties also asserted that they should provide Afghan people with humanitarian aid in this hour of need.
