Tehran, 27 July 2022 (TDI): The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

During their conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister referred to the lifting of sanctions on Iran. He noted the ongoing efforts on the part of the European Union to conclude negotiations. He further said that Iran is serious about reaching a good and lasting agreement.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also referred to the positive view of high-ranking officials of the two countries on bilateral relations.
He further welcomed the prospect of good relations between the two countries. As a result, he described it as an important step in bilateral relations.
In addition, Amir Abdollahian also highlighted the Zionist regime’s presence in the region as a cause of instability and insecurity in the region.
He noted the Zionist regime’s attempt to turn the recent meeting in Jeddah into a crisis in the region. However, the meeting emphasized the logic of the participating countries in the region. It also emphasized the issues of regional cooperation, progress, and security.
UAE Foreign Minister’s stance
The Emirati Foreign Minister underlined common interests as one of the reasons for developing bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said that the only way to achieve the expansion of relations between two neighboring countries is by improving the level of political missions.
Sheikh Abdullah underscored the unrestricted warm relations between the two countries. He further said that exploring new horizons for bilateral relations should be a priority. This is especially considering the environmental and climate issues faced by the region.
The Emirati Foreign Minister also noted various economic opportunities available in both Iran and the UAE. He also noted that the mutual visits of government officials can also have a significant impact on the development of bilateral relations.
The UAE’s top diplomat concluded his conversation by giving well wishes to Iran. He said peace, stability, goodness, and honor are very important for Iran as the UAE’s neighbor and brotherly country.
Moreover, he further said that he hopes for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in the future.
