Islamabad (TDI): Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, has conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the Pakistani people and government for their unwavering support amid the recent Israel’s aggression.
In an official statement issued on Wednesday, the ambassador referred to Pakistan’s reaction as a historically great display of solidarity that would be remembered by the Iranian nation. He praised the recent ceasefire as a “dignified and decisive victory” for Iran, a landmark that represented the Muslim world’s struggle against injustice.
Dr. Moghaddam also added that Iran was able to convince a powerful and aggressive enemy to agree to a ceasefire. He was thankful to the government of Pakistan, its military, parliament, religious leaders, political parties, and media for standing in their support of Iran in this critical phase.

He was particularly thankful to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif for their clear and unambiguous stand.
The envoy appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) as well for its consistent support of Iran’s perspective at key international forums, including the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
He added that Pakistan’s value-based diplomacy was an expression of the two countries’ common values and historical fondness for one another.

“Throughout history, the governments and peoples of Iran and Pakistan have been shoulder to shoulder in solidarity and fraternity” said Dr. Moghaddam, adding that, “The Iranian people will never forget this strong expression of brotherhood and moral courage by the Pakistani nation.”
In his closing remarks, Dr. Moghaddam said that this solidarity at this moment would be remembered as a lasting symbol of pride, and unity in Muslim world.
He called the moment a reflection of the deepening bond between Iran and Pakistan and urged both countries to strengthen cooperation to overcome regional challenges and work towards shared goals of justice and peace.
