PARIS, (TDI): French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Monday that Iran nuclear program is nearing a critical threshold. He emphasized the need for France to engage in strategic discussions with the administration of U.S. elect President Donald Trump regarding Iran.
Macron also suggested that leaders must consider whether to initiate a sanctions restoration mechanism on Iran before October 2025.
French President Emmanuel Macron described Iran as the primary strategic and security challenge in the Middle East, pointing to its accelerated nuclear program and support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“Iran represents the main strategic and security challenge for France, Europe, the region, and beyond,” Macron stated during a speech to ambassadors.

He noted that the issue would be a key topic of discussion with the incoming administration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
