Iran Expo 2025: Pakistan Highlights Trade Potential and Regional Collaboration

Tehran (TDI): A high-level Pakistani delegation, led by Minister of State Talha Burki and Minister Sohail Butt, actively participated in the Iran Expo 2025.

The delegation visited several pavilions, held strategic meetings, and engaged in constructive dialogue with representatives from multiple countries, highlighting Pakistan’s vision for regional growth and development.

During their visit to the Zahedan Chamber’s pavilion, the ministers emphasized the significant untapped potential for enhancing bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran.

Both sides acknowledged the value of their demographic strengths and geographical proximity, which could serve as a strong foundation for boosting economic cooperation.

The Pakistani ministers expressed appreciation for Iran’s industrial capacity and conveyed interest in developing deeper people-to-people ties that can foster mutual prosperity.

On the sidelines of the expo, Minister of State Talha Burki addressed the media and conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt condolences over the tragic incident in Bandar Abbas. He expressed solidarity with the Iranian people during this time of grief and emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in the face of shared regional challenges.

In a notable diplomatic engagement, the delegation warmly greeted His Excellency Ashraf Ameen, Head of Mission of Jordan. Minister Talha Burki reiterated the strong and enduring ties between Pakistan and Jordan, noting the historical and cultural connections that have consistently underpinned the relationship between the two nations.

The Pakistani delegation also held productive exchanges with representatives from Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iraq. These discussions focused on fostering regional cooperation in trade, investment, and development. The leaders shared views on promoting regional stability and prosperity through enhanced multilateral collaboration.

Throughout their engagements at the expo, Ministers Burki and Butt reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to expand its economic footprint in the region by leveraging diplomatic platforms and international expos.

The seventh edition of Iran Expo, the country’s largest and most significant export event aimed at strengthening connections with international markets, brings together representatives from more than 100 countries.

The exhibition, running from April 28 to May 2 at Tehran’s International Permanent Fairground, offers a platform for showcasing Iranian companies’ capabilities in exporting goods and technical and engineering services worldwide.

More than 2,000 companies and their representatives from around the globe are participating in the event, seeking to familiarize themselves with Iran’s industrial strengths and engage in negotiations and business interactions with some of the country’s leading brands across various sectors.
