Islamabad, 4 September 2023 (TDI): Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam called on Caretaker Federal Minister for Power and Petroleum Muhammad Ali on Monday.

Both sides discussed mutual interests and strengthened fraternal relations between the two countries.

The Energy Minister warmly welcomed the neighboring Iranian Ambassador and conveyed his determination to enhance the bonds between the two countries.

The Ambassador conveyed his best wishes to the minister as he assumed his new portfolio.

Muhammad Ali highlighted the significant potential for energy sector collaboration between Iran and Pakistan.

“We are keen to explore all options and work together,” reiterated the Energy minister.

Pakistan’s growing energy requirements offer an opportunity for cooperation with neighboring Iran, which possesses abundant energy reserves.

The Ambassador commended the Minister’s enthusiasm for regional cooperation and affirmed his support.

He offered his diplomatic assistance and services to the Pakistani side whenever needed.

He pointed out that the recent opening of the Mand-Pishin border marketplace would not only boost the economic development of the border regions but also symbolize the joint dedication to improving the well-being of both nations.
