Commercial or modern poultry in Pakistan is one of the oldest agro-based segments established in 1962. The total investment in the poultry industry in Pakistan is about 1.1 trillion rupees.
There are about 15,000 poultry farms in Pakistan with their capacity ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 broilers. The poultry industry generates employment and income for about 1.5 million people directly and indirectly. Moreover, the annual growth rate of poultry production in Pakistan is about 10-12%.
