Kabul, 7 September 2021 (TDI): On 7th September 2021, The International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) issued a help appeal for Afghanistan. IFRC Head of Afghanistan Delegation, Necephor Mghendi in the statement called for immediate efforts to help Afghanistan in this multiple crises.
More than 18 million Afghans require humanitarian assistance in the wake of the crisis. Drought, food shortage Global pandemic, and the insufficient health system are contributing to the ongoing humanitarian crisis, Said IFRC Head of Afghanistan Delegation.
To fulfill the massive humanitarian needs of almost 560,000 people in 16 provinces, IFRC appealed for more than $39 million to help the Afghan Red Crescent. While appealing for Funds, the IFRC Head of Afghanistan Delegation mentioned that it is important to support the people of Afghanistan to heal from almost 4 decades of conflicts on their land.
