Islamabad, February 10, 2023  (TDI): The Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (ICSTSI) held a meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Kistafin to discuss potential opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.

The meeting was attended by Sajjad Sarwar, the President of ICSTSI, Syeda Wajida Saleem, the Vice President of ICSTSI, and other chamber members representing various segments of the SME sectors.

In his opening remarks, President Sajjad Sarwar presented details about the chamber and its mission to support and promote small businesses in the region. He emphasized the importance of establishing strong trade ties with Kazakhstan, highlighting the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries.

Vice President Wajida Saleem spoke on occasion, outlining the potential for collaboration in agriculture, tourism, and technology. She emphasized the commitment of the ICSTSI to promoting entrepreneurship and small business development and expressed her hope for a productive partnership with Kazakhstan.

Ambassador Kastafin expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to meet with the ICSTSI and discussed the potential for increased trade and investment between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. He highlighted the strong economic ties between the two countries and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to support the growth of small businesses in both nations.

The meeting was followed by a lively Q&A session in which both sides discussed potential challenges and opportunities for further collaboration. The ICSTSI and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan expressed their commitment to continuing the dialogue to identify areas of potential cooperation and support the growth of small businesses in both countries.
