Beijing, (TDI): Huawei’s latest tri-fold phone is attracting massive customers in China creating difficulties in meeting the demand of the market, various reports suggest.
Some customer were cited as disappointed as only those with confirmed pre-order could buy the tri-fold Mate XT.
Huawei recently unveiled the world’s first commercial tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XT, in Shenzhen, south China’s Guangdong Province.
It is the industry-first tri-fold smartphone in south China’s Shenzhen, with a number of technological breakthroughs such as a dual-hinge system and screen-bending features.

China’s foldable mobile phone market saw a growth of 114.5 percent in shipments in 2023, with the number of shipments surpassing 7 million, according to global market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC).
Since launching ceremony of the phone people in a large number started to register pre-order, yet tens of thousand were those who visited big stores to buy the phone without pre-order and they couldn’t buy it on spot that disappointed many of the company fans.

Certain media reports said that analysts had already warned that supply chain constraints could leave many potential buyers of Huawei’s Mate XT empty-handed.
According to a report from Quartz, an American business news website, Huawei has outpaced Apple in the Chinese market, Since releasing its Mate 60 Pro smartphone series last August.
