RAWALPINDI, (TDI): Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the northwestern Bajaur district on the night of October 23-24, 2024, killing nine terrorists.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of Khwarij in the area.
The troops engaged the terrorists, leading to an intense firefight that concluded with the neutralization of the nine terrorists, including two suicide bombers and a high-value target, Said Muhammad alias Qureshi Ustad.
The ISPR added in a statement that a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the slain terrorists, who had been involved in various attacks against both security personnel and civilians.
A sanitization operation is now underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area, reflecting Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to combat terrorism.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have both commended the security forces for their successful operation in Bajaur.
The President emphasized national unity against terrorism, stating that both the public and security forces will work together to thwart terrorist plans.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to eradicating Fitnah Al Khwarij.

The Prime Minister echoed this sentiment, praising the security forces and asserting that the nation stands united in the fight against terrorism until it is fully eradicated.
