Beirut (TDI): In an unprecedented incident, Hezbollah reportedly fired a surface-to-surface missile aimed to hit targets deep inside Tel Aviv on Wednesday, though Israel’s defense system intercepted it.
According to CNN, the missile reached deep into the country’s commercial heartlands when it was intercepted.
This is for the first time that a missile fired by the group reached close to the city, the report added. However, media reported no damages or casualties.

The report said that Hezbollah confirmed launching a Qadr 1 ballistic missile and the target was headquarters of Israel’s intelligence service Mossad, blamed for targeting its members and also involved in coordinated explosions in Lebanon last week.
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has repeatedly said that any Israeli strike on the Lebanese capital would prompt an attack on Israel’s economic center.

Hezbollah usually fire rockets and send drones from Lebanon hitting targets in northern Israel.
The missile happened a day after Israeli strikes targeting Hezbollah killed children and women among more than 500 people across Lebanon. Monday proved to be the deadliest day in Lebanon in decades.
Israel and Hezbolla’s exchange of fire is escalating tense situation in the Middle East creating fears in the world about widening of the war.
The conflict has caused displacing people in hundreds of thousands in Lebanese areas, officials in Beirut had said.
