Islamabad (TDI): The federal government on Wednesday announced an increase of Rs3.47 in petrol price and Rs2.61 in High-Speed Diesel (HSD) price per litre.
With this increase, the new prices of petrol and HSD will stand at Rs256.13 and Rs260.95, respectively, for the next fortnight.

The revised prices will come into effect on January 16, 2025.
It should be noted that this is the second consecutive hike in petrol and diesel prices. In the previous review, the government had slightly increased the price of petrol by Re.056, taking it to Rs252.66.
Similarly, the price of HSD was increased by Rs296 to Rs258.34.
