Peshawar, 3 October 2023 (TDI): Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, has reaffirmed the unwavering friendship between Pakistan and China speaking at a vibrant event hosted by China Window.

China Window is a Chinese cultural center in Peshawar. Governor Ghulam Ali, highlighting China’s enduring support during challenging times, emphasized that the world looks up to the Pakistan-China friendship.

He described it as “sweeter than honey, higher than the Himalayas, and deeper than the oceans on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of the People’s Republic of China.

The event marked the participation of various dignitaries, including Caretaker Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Barrister Mian Feroz Jamal Shah Kaka Khel.

Provincial Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Science and Technology, Dr. Najibullah Marwat, Iranian Consul General Ali Banafsha Kha, and other high-ranking officials, writers, poets, intellectuals, and artists also attended the event.

Governor Haji Ghulam Ali expressed his delight in witnessing the people of Peshawar joining in the celebrations of their Chinese counterparts through the platform of China Window.

He extended heartfelt gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and his team for their dedicated services.

Likewise, he acknowledged the vital role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Pakistan’s economic development, asserting that it would usher in a new era of prosperity for the region, including Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Governor underlined the broader implications of CPEC, stating that it not only contributes to regional peace but also brings economic prosperity.

Moreover, it is expected to create approximately 800,000 jobs in the coming year, offering opportunities and enhancing the standard of living for many.

Haji Ghulam Ali remarked that CPEC exemplifies the enduring Pakistan-China relations and serves as a guardian of the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

On this special occasion, he extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of China on behalf of the people of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Governor also commended the significant role played by the Chinese Cultural Center, China Window, in promoting cultural activities and strengthening cultural ties between the two countries over the years.

He applauded the entire team, including its administrator, Amjad Aziz Malik, for their commendable efforts.

The event concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting, symbolizing the shared joy and camaraderie between Pakistan and China.
