Google Expands AI Plus Plan to 40 Countries, Including Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Google has announced that its ‘AI Plus’ subscription plan is now available in 40 additional countries, with Pakistan among them.

The package was initially introduced in Indonesia earlier this month, where the company says it received a strong response. Designed to make advanced AI tools more widely accessible, the plan aims to boost productivity and creativity at what Google describes as an affordable price point, according to Dawn.com.

“Pakistan’s digital ecosystem is dynamic and fast-growing, and we’ve been impressed by how quickly people here are embracing AI technologies,” said Farhan Qureshi, Google Pakistan’s Country Director.

“With AI Plus, we’re opening the door for even more people to access these tools. This reflects our commitment to Pakistan’s digital transformation and to ensuring people have the opportunity to enhance learning, creativity, and productivity with AI.”

The subscription offers expanded limits for image generation and editing through the Gemini app’s Nano Banana feature, extended access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most advanced AI model for handling complex questions, use of Veo 3 Fast, Google’s video generation system, within Gemini, Whisk, and Flow, Gemini integration across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other Workspace apps, and 200 GB of shared cloud storage across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. Subscribers can also extend these benefits to up to five family members.

The service is priced at Rs1,400 per month in Pakistan, with first-time users eligible for a 50% discount for their first six months.

The announcement follows a July meeting between Pakistan’s IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Google’s regional AI developer team, where both sides discussed closer cooperation in AI adoption and training. The government has highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in education and workforce development as a priority.
