Islamabad, 24 June 2023 (TDI): A high-profile business delegation representing the Global Business Alliance executive members recently met with Eduard-Robert PREDA, Minister/Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of Romania to Pakistan.
The visit was arranged and aimed to explore avenues of collaboration and discuss the potential benefits of industrial cooperation between Romania and Pakistan.
During the meeting, Mr. PREDA highlighted Romania’s population of 19 million and its strategic position as a gateway to European global markets.
He emphasized the crucial need for skilled labor in Romanian factories and recognized the educational and professional capabilities of Pakistanis.
The Deputy Head of Mission also highlighted the potential for industrial cooperation between Romania and Pakistan, with Pakistan’s skilled labor force offering significant benefits to the Romanian industrial sector.
Muhammad Asif Noor, Chairman of the Global Business Alliance, expressed his gratitude to Mr. PREDA for his warm welcome and acknowledged the efforts of the Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, Nicole Goia, and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Romania, Zafar Iqbal, in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

While speaking on the occasion, Ahmad Ikram Lone, Vice Chairman of Global Business Alliance and Chairman of Gujranwala Business Centre, highlighted the significance of building strong ties between Pakistan and Romania through business and trade partnerships.
During the discussions, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Romanian Embassy also emphasized the importance of efficient transportation and communication networks to facilitate the delivery of goods from Pakistan to Romania.
Recognizing the significance of timely and reliable delivery, he called for an increase in infrastructure and logistical capabilities to ensure the smooth movement of goods between the two countries.
