Kabul, 26 August 2021 (TDI): Ghulam Muhammad Isaczai, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to United Nations met with Martin Griffiths, Chief of UN Relief.
For nearly two decades, the United Nations has been present in Afghanistan to assist its people and maintain stability. He claimed that the UN will remain in Afghanistan to serve its people and continue to exist until peace and stability are attained in Afghanistan’s war-torn country.
He added that they will continue to support the Afghan people. Eighteen Million Afghans need humanitarian assistance. The recent takeover of Kabul by the Taliban escalated the apprehensive situation in Afghanistan. They further decided that the UN will continue its efforts for human rights in Afghanistan.
